VHS Receives $30,000 from City of Evansville Endowment Fund

The Vanderburgh Humane Society was recently awarded a $30,000 grant from the Evansville Endowment Fund, a supporting organization of the Community Foundation Alliance! Funding is focused on capital projects for nonprofits serving within the City of Evansville. The Fund originated in 1994 when former Mayor Frank McDonald II proposed that $5 million of revenue from the gaming boat be invested in a way that would serve the City of Evansville forever.

For us, this $30,000 will repair HVAC ERV condensation issues that have been causing ceiling leaks in several areas of our 20-year-old building as shown below. We're so grateful to the grant committee for selecting our proposal!
